Reminder to view your Healthy Lifestyle Premium Discounts status before the deadline

Time is running out to qualify to earn up to $910 off of your medical premiums next fiscal year. The deadline is February 28, 2019. If you haven’t already done so, log on to the Employee Self-Service (ESS) ADP portal and review your progress toward 2019/20 Healthy Lifestyle Premium Discounts (HLPDs). If there is a discrepancy, contact Employee Wellness immediately to resolve the issue. Remember all HLPD activities must be completed March 1, 2018 – February 28, 2019. Any activities completed after this time period will apply to the 2020/21 discounts.

Click here for instructions on how to review your progress towards 2019/20 HLPDs. Discounts will apply starting the first paycheck of July 2019.

If you are tobacco free, remember that you must certify your tobacco free status during the Spring 2019 Annual Enrollment to continue to receive the discount.

For more information, please visit the Healthy Lifestyle Premium Discounts webpage or contact Employee Wellness.

The enhanced Healthy Lifestyle Premium Discounts program starts next month! Pima County will continue to reward employees for making smart, healthy decisions, but starting next reporting year in March 2019, the way employees will earn the discounts will change. Learn more about these changes by attending a presentation near you. Click here for the schedule of presentations.

Per Administrative Procedure 23-30, employees are encouraged to attend these classes and programs. Employees may be allowed to flex their time, where needed, and/or may be allowed a maximum of thirty minutes of paid work time per program, not to exceed four programs in a calendar year.

Get your vitals checked at a higi health kiosk

The higi health kiosk is a quick, easy way for employees to measure and track their health vitals. Through a simple touchscreen interface, you’ll have access to screening tools to obtain vital health information. The higi health kiosk measures your weight, blood pressure, pulse and body mass index, allowing you to share your results with yourself and track it over time. It takes about five to eight minutes to test everything, or you can pick the screenings you’d like to do. The kiosks are available for use anytime.
