    Event Spotlight: Attractions and Tourism

    Packrat Playhouse: Animal Yoga

    Animals can bend, stretch, jump, and move! In this movement- focused class kids will learn about animals as
    they mimic their yoga poses. They'll also meet a live animal and go home with a fun prize. During this program,
    kids enjoy 30 minutes of animal yoga led by the education staff followed by 30 minutes of exclusive playtime before
    they officially open the Playhouse to the public. Developmentally appropriate activities focus on science, art, languages, music, and movement as a part of the entertainment for your little ones.

    CDO Soccer Tournament Challenge Cup

    The CDO Challenge Cup, brought to you by the Canyon del Oro (CDO) Soccer Club, begins April 5 and continues through April 7. The tournament rings in its seventh year at the Kino Sports Complex and has become the premiere spring soccer tournament in Southern Arizona. Join us for a weekend full of fun and great soccer on the County's best soccer fields!

    Read to a Dog

    Designed to allow your kids the chance to read to a calm, loving, furry listener, this program also offers the rare chance to experience a stress-free reading environment and have fun at the same time.

    Get Out There: Natural Resources Parks and Recreation

    Cascabel Trail Nature Walk

    NRPR Trail
    A Natural Resources, Parks, and Recreation naturalist will lead you on a beautiful, 1 ½ mile, guided hike on a level plain trail. We may not see Cascabels (Spanish for rattlesnakes), but expect a spring desert landscape featuring tall stands of majestic saguaros, impressive fishhook barrel cacti, and a diversity of other Sonoran Desert vegetation. Ages 12 and up are welcome to come and enjoy Arizona nature.

    Low-Cost Pet Vaccination Clinic

    Time: 7 a.m. - Noon

    Description: The clinic offers services for dogs and cats, including vaccinations, heart worm testing and preventatives, and $25 microchipping. Pima Animal Care Center will also join to offer pet licensing.

    Bike Mechanics Class

    Time: 9 a.m. -1 p.m.

    Description: You can learn the basic mechanical aspects of the bicycle, how to repair and adjust the most common problems such as flat tires, changing and lubing chains, brakes and derailleur adjustment, changing and adjusting cables, wrapping handlebar tape and adjusting spoke tension. Also includes recommendations for creating a tool kit. Plan on getting your hands dirty! Class size limited to 10 participants. When you complete the class, you will have a choice of free safety items!
