Ain't I A Woman? How to Thrive When Black Girl Magic Doesn't Seem to Be Enough

Black Girl Magic is more than a buzz phrase that celebrates the beauty, power, and resilience of Black women.
This class covers topics
that include self-esteem, confidence, empowerment, cyber-bulling, sexual decision-making,
consent,healthy relationships and
STI/pregnancy prevention and self-love. The event is hosted by Kindred, an effort by Pima County Public Library to improve black representation in Pima County Public Libraries at all levels and branches. The best place to park is the upper parking
lot which can be accessed off of 11th Avenue.
You will see an open purple gate; the building the
program will be taking place in is the historic building on your right hand side.

The Pima County Public Library's Main Library and 25 branch libraries offer a variety of services, clubs, events,
and other opportunities for both children and adults to learn and connect with their community.

Water Conservation Through Pond and Lake Sealing

Description: The Pima County Flood Control District is hosting a presentation on reducing water loss in ponds and
lakes, which is a critical aspect of water conservation, especially in the desert southwest. The presentation
will focus on one of those options– the ESS-13 Pond and Lake Sealing System.
Tucson-Pima County Bicycle Advisory Committee Meeting
Time: 6 - 8 p.m.

Description: A variety of issues will be discussed including the creation of a new Bicycle/Pedestrian Coordinator

accommodate bicyclists, construction of specialized traffic signals
for bicyclists and pedestrians
