FC Tucson takes on the Chattanooga Red Wolves in a 7:30 p.m. match, one of the club’s 14 home games this season. Look for a spirited match between the home team and the fifth-place Red Wolves at the Kino Sports Complex. Come get your $1 hot dogs and $5 margaritas while enjoying the game.

Race Weekend!
Team Tucson Race #7 gets underway with the “Track Hot for big Wheels” at 5:30 p.m., Juniors race at 6 p.m. and Big Cars at 6:15 p.m. Gates open at 4 p.m. Located just a few minutes south of Interstate 10 on the Pima County Fairgrounds, Tucson Dragway is one of the nation’s most active drag racing facilities.

Author Linda Strader will discuss and sign copies of Summers of Fire: A Memoir of Adventure, Love, and Courage. The book follows the personal and physical challenges she had to overcome as one of the first women to work on a fire crew for the U.S. Forest Service, a career where women were generally not welcome in 1976.

National Adoption Weekend

Pima Animal Care Center is waiving adoption fees on any pets four months or older as part of a special adoption event for PetSmart Charities® National Adoption Weekend.
This event at the following locations:
•PetSmart at Oracle & Wetmore, 4374 N. Oracle Rd.
•PetSmart at El Con Mall, between Home Depot and Target, 3695 E. Broadway Blvd.
•PetSmart at Irvington & I-19, 1175 W. Irvington Rd.
