Valencia Rd ProjectOvernight work has been delayed due to inclement weather. Nighttime work has been rescheduled for Monday, August 5 from 11:00 p.m., to Tuesday, August 6, until completed. Pima County Department of Transportation along with their contractor, The Ashton Company, will be placing concrete for a box culvert located between Mountain Eagle Drive and DeConcini Drive.

The work will be completed overnight due to the availability of and temperature specifications for curing concrete.

Residents can expect no delays during this work. Please approach the area with caution and obey all traffic control devices.

In the event of mechanical failure or inclement weather, the construction schedule is subject to change.

The Regional Transportation Authority is a state-established political subdivision within Pima County that collects a half-cent excise tax from the RTAs special taxing district. The tax funds the RTAs 20-year regional transportation plan, which voters in the district approved in May 2006 along with the excise tax. To date, the RTA has invested over $1 billion in the region to deliver transportation projects and services that improve our region’s mobility, safety, economic vitality and quality of life. The Valencia Road project, Wade to Ajo is part of the RTA plan and is managed by Pima County. Please visit www.RTAmobility.com for more information.
