  • Lights of the World opening delayed to Oct. 24

    Lights of the WorldLights of the World, the largest light and lantern festival in North America, returns to Kino Sports Complex this month. Event organizers had planned for an early open date of Oct. 18, but have delayed the start date to Oct. 24.

    Below is a statement from Lights of the World Tucson:
    "Due to our commitment to quality and excellence, we will be expanding to include new and bigger displays. Unfortunately, opening day will be delayed to Oct. 24, but we believe that this will create the best experience for you. Thank you for your understanding. See you soon!”

    The spectacle features over 11 exhibits and 75 lantern displays showcasing different cultures and landmarks across the world with over 6 million LED lights. There's also carnival rides, live acrobat and sea lion shows, carnival games, arts and crafts, and food.

    Due to the delayed opening, discount tickets sales will extend through Oct. 23. Discounted admission prices include $12.60 for adults (13+ years), $10.50 for kids (ages 3-12) and $10.50 for seniors (65+ years). Kids ages 3 and under get in free.
