    Notice of the Pima County Board of Supervisors 

    Constable, Justice Precinct 9 - Vacancy Appointment Process

    The Pima County Board of Supervisors is accepting Letters of Interest, Resumes and Financial Disclosure Statement Forms from individuals interested in being considered for the appointment to fill the vacancy of Pima County Constable, Justice Precinct 9. All documents should be submitted to:

    The submission deadline is Friday, December 27, 2019 at 5:00 p.m.

    To be eligible to fill the vacancy, an individual must be:
    • 18 years of age or older at the time of the appointment;
    • Registered to vote in the precinct;
    • A resident of the precinct; and
    • The same political party as the person vacating the office, in this case a Democrat.
    The Financial Disclosure Statement Form and Instruction Manual can be obtained from the Pima County Homepage at, by emailing a request to the Clerk of the Board at or by calling 520-724-8449.

    The names of individuals to be considered for the appointment will be posted to the Pima County Homepage as submissions are received.

    A public forum to introduce and interview the individuals will be conducted by the League of Women Voters on Monday, January 6, 2020, 6:00 p.m., at the Valencia Library, 202 W. Valencia Road, Tucson, Arizona. 

    The Pima County Board of Supervisors will make the appointment to fill the vacancy at their meeting on February 4, 2020.  The individual appointed will serve the remainder of the unexpired term (through 2020). A new election will be held at the General Election in November 2020.
