Beginning Monday, January 13th and continuing through Tuesday, January 14th, Pima County’s Project Management Office (PMO) and its contractor, the Ashton Company, will be installing a 12 inch lateral waterline crossing E. Mary Ann Cleveland Way to provide service to the new Pima County Esmond Station Southeast Library between Empire High School and S. Atterbury Wash Way.
TRAFFIC CONTROL – This work will require lane closures. Traffic will be flagged through the immediate construction area, one direction at a time.
On Monday, January 13, starting at 7:00 a.m., traffic will be shifted to the north shoulder (westbound side) with only one lane available, alternating east and westbound directions. Two way traffic will be re-established late afternoon and through the evening.
On Tuesday, January 14 starting at 7:00 a.m., traffic will be shifted to the eastbound side (next to the jersey barriers) with only one lane available, again alternating east and westbound directions. Two way traffic will be re-established at the end of waterline installation.
Please approach the area with caution and obey all traffic control devices, including speed limit reductions, in the construction zone.
Some delays should be expected during this work. In the event of mechanical failure or inclement weather, the construction schedule may be subject to change. This project is expected to be completed mid-February 2020.
