Pima County FAQs

Because it’s not every day you have to call a government office to settle a traffic citation or find out how you can speak at a Board of Supervisors' meeting, we’ve created this new section to highlight some of the most frequently asked questions received by our Pima County operator. 

Where or with whom can I look up information about my traffic citation? 

Civil traffic citations filed in the Pima County Consolidated Justice Court may be issued by any law enforcement agency, including the Pima County Sheriff's Department, Arizona Department of Public Safety, University of Arizona Police Department, Pima Community College, Tohono O'odham, Pascua

I want to address the Board of Supervisors at their next meeting. How do I go about doing that?

The Board of Supervisors meets every other Tuesday (with some exceptions) in the Board of Supervisors Hearing Room on the first floor of the Administration East Building, 130 W. Congress, first floor. To address the Board of Supervisors, complete a Speaker’s Card available in the Hearing Room. 

Clearly print your name/address, the agenda/addendum item number and other requested information. Speaker Cards are required for each item of interest including Call to the Public. On items not noticed as a hearing, speakers should submit a Speaker Card for Call to the Public. Comments are limited to three minutes.

Place the completed Speaker Card(s) in the labeled baskets located on the dais. When the Chairman announces your name, step forward to the podium and state your name and affiliation (if applicable) for the record.

The Chairman reserves the right to ensure all testimony is pertinent or non-repetitive so the matter will be handled fairly and expeditiously, and that all speakers abide by rules of civility.
