Most shelters only hold stray pets for 3 days before putting them up for adoptions. We recommend coming down at least every other day to look for your pet.

Even if your pet has a chip or tag, it is crucial that you visit the shelter and look for your pet.

When you visit a shelter, be sure to ask about pets that may not be in public areas.
