This project is intended to fill in an existing gap in soil cement bank protection from I-10 to Thornydale. The project plans to have a maintenance access road that will connect the Loop on the north bank of the Canada del Oro from Ted Walker Park, west of I-10 to Thornydale Road to the east. An underpass beneath I-10 and the UP tracks will be constructed along with a maintenance ramp to the channel bottom.

Scope of Work

Due to permitting issues with Union Pacific Railroad, the project limits have been modified for the first phase of the project to the first 2100 linear feet of bank protection west of Thornydale Road. Construction of the soil cement in underway with the associated linear park to follow.
