Pima Animal Care Center is open on the Veterans Day holiday for adoptions! none

Although Monday, Nov. 11, is otherwise a County holiday and we aren’t open for daily activities such as licensing, we’re offering our pets for adoption between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Better yet, we’re waiving adoption fees for anyone donating food or supplies to help and honor veterans for their service!

If you can’t make it Monday, please keep in mind that when you are in the market for a new family member, most of our pets are free under a new fee structure in place for the remainder of the year.

We’re waiving adoption fees through Dec. 31 for all pets staying with us longer than two weeks and for any pet over the age of 5.

That means of the 258 available dogs in our adoption center today, 60 percent, or 161 pets, are free! Some of our cats are discounted, too! Annual dog licensing fees of $15 still apply, but all pets leave our center with microchips, vaccinations and spay/neuter surgery.

With so many dogs in all shapes, sizes and ages, you’ve got a good chance of finding the right fit for your family. Come see us. We’re open noon to 7 p.m. on weekdays and from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on weekends.
