All above review times are in business days. Over 99% of projects are completed in less than the posted time frame but projects with exceptional circumstances could take longer.
Please note that if your project is located in a floodplain, turn-around times are subject to Regional Flood Control District control and may be ascertained by calling 520-243-1800.
Operational Review Turn-Around Times for Site Development Instruments
While the County shall strive to conduct reviews for Development Concept Permits, Site Construction Permits, Building/Site Construction Permits, tentative plats and final plats within five business days of receipt, please note that larger projects or projects with greater than average complexities shall take longer. The County shall guarantee a review timeframe of fifteen business days for all projects.
Walk-Through Plan Review
Projects may be reviewed on a walk through basis if plans examiners deem that the review may be completed within 20 minutes between the hours of 8:30 and 11:00. This determination will be made on the basis of size/complexity of project and the quality/completeness of the submitted drawings.
Examples of qualifying project types include: covered patios, detached ramadas, detached garages, and patio or site walls.
Examples of projects not qualifying for program include: single family homes, projects on hillside lots, projects requiring grading permits, most commercial projects, and septic systems.
