    Program: Stretch Don't Strain Challenge
     
    Description:

    Do you struggle throughout your day with stiffness, soreness, or joint pain? Stretching can release muscle tension, increase your flexibility, and even enhance your mood! Prioritize stretching in your everyday routine in this 30-day challenge! The Stretch Don't Strain challenge is open to all Pima County employees and encourages them to complete simple stretches every day for 5 weeks.

    Participating in a daily stretch routine has many benefits including:

    • Reduce your risk of injury.
    • Increase your flexibility.
    • Reduce joint & muscle pain.
    • Improve your performance.
    • Great for stress relief.
    Watch a recorded training to learn three different stretch routines. Receive materials to guide you through the routines. Complete daily stretches and track your progress on the Stretch Don't Strain Participant Tracker.

    This challenge is managed by the Wellness Council of Arizona.

    Who can participate? All Pima County employees
    Duration: 10 minutes per day
    7 days per week
    5 weeks

    How to get started: (Registration Closed) Register by TBD to be entered into a drawing for 1 of 20 Massage Ball Kits ($23 value)*
    Incentives:
    • Complete all 30 days of stretching to earn 15 points and qualify for prize drawing of 1 of 5 $100 Corporate Rewards gift cards*
    • Complete at least 20 days of stretching to earn 10 points and qualify for prize drawing of 1 of 10 $50 Corporate Rewards gift cards*
    • Complete at least 10 days of stretching to earn 5 points

    *All gift cards and massage ball kits are subject to taxation. This challenge can be completed once per reporting period (March - February) for points.

    Instructions

    1. Watch the recorded trainings to learn the stretch routines.
    2. At the beginning of the challenge take the Initial Self-Assessment on the Participant Tracker (not available).
    3. Complete a stretch routine each day and follow along using the Stretch Don't Strain Routine Guides.
    4. Track your daily progress on the Participant Tracker by marking the box for each day you complete the stretch routine.
    5. At the end of the challenge take the Post Self-Assessment on the Participant Tracker.
    6. Submit the Participant Tracker by email to challenges@welcoaz.org by TBD.
