If you do not have the skills necessary to secure sustainable employment you may be eligible for Training Services, including specialized occupational skill training. Workforce Development Specialists can help you to prepare an application for training through:
- Occupational skills training from Arizona's Eligible Training Provider List of more than 300 programs.
- On-the-Job training and internships are developed with a variety of local employers by the One-Stop Employer Outreach Team. These opportunities combine instruction with work experience in the target occupation. This component also helps job seekers with limited work history to establish employer references.
- Customized training in special-demand areas.
Training applications are approved based on the strength of the application, feasibility of the training plan, and availability of funds.
Adult Education / Basic Training
The One-Stop High School Equivalency (HSE) testing and diploma program is provided by Pima Community College Adult Basic Education for College and Career (ABECC), with classes offered onsite at both the Rio Nuevo and Kino One-Stop Career Centers.
