  • Pima County-owned waste facilities closed Christmas, New Year's

    Landfills, transfer stations, and the Waste Tire Collection Facility owned by the Pima County Department of Environmental Quality will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 25 for the Christmas holiday and Wednesday, Jan. 1 for the New Year’s holiday. none

    The closure includes landfills in Sahuarita and Ajo, and the Catalina and Ryan Field Transfer Stations that are now operated by Tucson Recycling & Waste Services.  The Waste Tire Collection Facility, operated by CRM, at 5301 W. Ina Road, also will be closed on Christmas and New Year’s Day.

    The County-owned landfills and transfer stations, as well as the Waste Tire Collection Facility, will reopen the Thursday after these holidays.
