If we are fortunate, we will face the coming year wrapped in a spirit of warmth, friendship and generosity to those in need. none

For a pet waiting for a home, the gift of human touch and time makes all the difference. A little romp around the park or a bit of playtime in the adoption center can make Christmas morning and New Year’s Day joyful by giving our dogs and cats respite, hope, exercise and fresh air.

If you like your community service accompanied by wiggles, wags and sloppy kisses, we’ve got events for you! On Dec. 25 and on Jan. 1, our community dog walks start at 10 a.m. until noon.

And if you’re ready to add another stocking to the mantle, we’ve got free adoptions on both days from noon until 3 p.m. Standard licensing fees of $15 apply.

Please RSVP for the dog walk to so we know how many people to expect.

Reminder: We are open Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and we will be closed on Sunday, Dec. 29. Happy holidays!
