    Departments under the umbrella of Administration include:


    Since 1997, Pima County and its partner jurisdictions have completed over 700 bond projects with voter-approved bond funding, resulting in significant investments in this community’s infrastructure, providing tremendous benefit to the everyday lives of our residents and visitors, and creating thousands of construction-related jobs.

    Communications Office

    Proactively supports Pima County's mission and strategic objectives with the goal of enhancing the County's visibility, image and reputation throughout Arizona, the United States and internationally. 

    County Administrator

    Carries out the policies and goals established by the Board of Supervisors, oversees all non-elected official departmental operations and provides management, coordination and communication on legislative issues and intergovernmental needs.

    Economic Development

    Coordinates the efforts of several departments to help grow the region and make employers and employees successful.


    Conducts all federal, state, and local elections; manages the Precinct Committeemen; provides the Pima County Campaign Finance Program for electronic filing; and offers the citizens of Pima County a Votingresource for candidates, past elections, campaign finance records, and ADA accessible voting and polling.

    Employees Care About Pima County

    The annual fundraising campaign coordinated with United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona to assist community members in need.

    Facilities Management

    Responsible for the management of Pima County facilities. Its subdivisions include:

    • Design and Construction
    • Asset Management and Planning
    • Building Maintenance
    • Support Services
    • Energy Management

    Finance and Risk Management

    Consists of nine divisions that oversee and report on all of the County's financial transactions. 

    Fleet Services

    Maintains the County's fleet of vehicles to keep them operating efficiently and safely.

    Human Resources

    Recruits and retains employees, provides various employment-related services and training, and administers the county's benefits and wellness programs.

    Information Technology

    Designs and supports information, network, communication, and application systems. Manages the Geographic Information Systems and the telecommunications and cable company information.
    Himmel Library

    Pima County Public Library

    The Library District is a separate taxing authority under the purview of the Board of Supervisors. Its funding is used to operate the 26 County libraries.


    Strives to maximize the benefits that Pima County citizens receive from the expenditure of public funds on goods and services in a professional, ethical, and lawful manner.
