Bronson, GrijalvaThe Pima County Board of Supervisors today welcomed three new members, District 1 Supervisor Rex Scott, District 2 Supervisor Dr. Matt Heinz, and District 5 Supervisor Adelita Grijalva; and selected District 3 Supervisor Sharon Bronson as Chair and Grijalva as Vice Chair.

The Board also re-appointed Clerk of the Board Julie Castañeda. It delayed to the Board’s Jan. 19 meeting a discussion about the County Administrator’s employment contract.

Bronson will be serving her third stint as Board Chair, having previously served as Chair from 2002-2005 and 2014-2017. She is beginning her seventh term on the Board. She is the longest-serving supervisor in County history.

The first meeting of 2021 was entirely online with each Supervisor and participating County staff joining the meeting from their offices as part of the County’s ongoing effort to reduce COVID-19 exposure risk among County employees and the public.
