Get creative with your commuting

Springtime in Tucson brings comfortable temperatures and extended sunny days to enjoy. Now is the perfect time to commute creatively and take PDEQ’s Drive-Less Pledge for Healthy Air. You could win a $100 gift card and/or other super nice prizes!

Picture yourself feeling like a kid again as you pedal along bicycle boulevards and The Loop. You are on the way to your office and appreciate the beautiful morning light on the Santa Catalina and Tucson Mountains. Then, you hear birds chirping and notice desert wildflowers in full bloom. You arrive at work and realize that car-free travel can truly be quite pleasant!
You also can give mass transit a whirl. Just be sure to grab your face covering. Then step off the bus knowing secretly that you are a superhero in disguise as a Pima County employee helping to make the air healthier to breathe one ride at a time.

Added bonus? Sun Tran is extending free fares on all its buses and street cars through at least June 30! Connect with SunTran’s Trip Planner to find the fastest, no-nonsense way you can get to work.

Another option is carpooling with family members. Drop the spouse and kids off to their destinations on your way in. For more information on carpooling, check out our carpool page.

So, why not commute creatively? Bike, walk, use mass-transit, or mix and match your way to work. Think your way out of the car box for fun and fitness year-round!
