Pima County is conducting the Brawley Wash Watershed Plan/Environmental Assessments (Plan/EA) to develop and study potential alternatives in creating a long-term plan to reduce flooding and erosion in the Brawley Wash watershed. This plan will have a strong environmental resource focus.

On completion of the Plan/EA, if the recommended alternatives are found to have no environmental impacts, a Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) will be issued. If a FONSI is issued, the Pima County Flood Control District will determine the next steps for implementation. Projects may be funded with Federal, State or Local dollars.

The Pima County Regional Flood Control District will conduct the study in cooperation with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) guidelines.

More information can be found on the project website.
