Pima County is one of the many organizations proudly sponsoring Cyclovia 2014. Cyclovia Tucson is a free event for families to enjoy walking, cycling and fun in the streets!  To make the streets safe to play in, motor vehicles will be detoured, 10am – 3pm, from a downtown/South Tucson route on April 6, 2014, and from a central/northwest route on November 2, 2014.  Cyclovia Tucson welcomes community partners, sponsors and vendors! For more information about this people-powered, community-inspiring event please visit the website at www.cycloviatucson.org .

Many Pima County Departments will be setting up fun, family-friendly activities along the Sunday, April 6th Cyclovia route at the Santa Rita Park Hub on 6th Avenue just north of 22nd Street. The Pima County Library will have the Book Bike offering free books to Cyclovia participants. The County Health Department will be encouraging animal adoption and healthy activities for family participation, including a colorful parachute game. Clean air and clean water will be promoted by the Pima County Environmental Quality with educational and fun activities. Pima County Natural Resources, Parks, and Recreation will have their "Living with Urban Wildlife" exhibit along with activities from their Recreation Community Centers' outreach programs. In addition, the County Department of Transportation will be increasing awareness of the multi-use pathway "The Loop," as well as the problems associated with Graffiti in our community and the Regional Wastewater Reclamation Department will entertain all with the "Wheel of Wisdom."

There will be plenty of food available for purchase from the street vendors nearby and lots of free fun for all!

A special note for employees of Pima County-- check out the County's Wellness page for special wellness points available by volunteering for Cyclovia.
