Southern Arizona Heritage and Visitor Center The Southern Arizona Heritage and Visitor Center (SAHVC) is now an official State of Arizona Visitor Center.

This designation means the Arizona Department of Transportation will soon add SAHVC signage along Interstate 10 to help draw more travelers to the Center. It’s a timely addition as, starting Aug. 30, SAHVC will open 7 days a week, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Arizona Office of Tourism will also add the center’s name and location to VisitArizona.com and the Arizona Official State Travel Guide, resources that reach more than 3 million consumers annually.

“This designation will allow us to expand our reach and bring more people to Pima County,” said Attractions and Tourism Director Diane Frisch. “We’re very excited for the opportunity to share the magic of southern Arizona with a broader audience.”

Located at the Pima County Historic Courthouse, the 7,500-square-foot center features various exhibits designed to help people explore the culture, food, heritage, ecology, and landscape of southern Arizona. Whether you’re picking out a unique cycling jersey from The Loop Store, or checking out the fun and interactive displays, The Southern Arizona Heritage and Visitor Center is the perfect place to start your adventure through the region.
