  • Massive statewide effort March 1 to help people apply for health insurance

    Cover Pima County! Saturday, March 1, 2014 will feature as many as 14 convenient locations throughout Pima County to provide FREE help for community members to sign up for health insurance.  none

    The Pima County Health Department and its community partners are taking part in a massive statewide effort (Cover Arizona) on Saturday, March 1 to help families sign up for health insurance.

    “Cover Pima County!” will feature several sites throughout Tucson where visitors can talk with health insurance professionals and enrollment specialist about signing up for health insurance.

    On March 1, all locations will have representatives available to answers questions, help with completing the enrollment application for the Marketplace or AHCCCS, or make an appointment for a more convenient day.

    Assistance is free and provided in partnership with the Pima County Health Department, in collaboration with the: Association of Health Underwriters, Carondelet Health Network, Chicanos Por La Causa, El Rio Community Health Center, Marana Health Center, Northwest Medical Center, Oro Valley Hospital, Pima Community Access Program, Tucson Medical Center, Tucson Urban League, St. Elizabeth’s Health Center, United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona, and University of Arizona Rural Health Center.
