Beginning Dec. 1, the Pima County Health Department, in partnership with the City of Tucson, will begin offering free COVID-19 vaccines at the Tucson Convention Center, 260 S. Church Ave.
The vaccine clinic will be located in the TCC east lobby, adjacent to the DoubleTree Hotel, and will operate Mondays through Saturdays, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. Free parking will be available in the Lot A Garage, which can be accessed from Church Avenue.
All three vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna, Johnson & Johnson) will be available to adults at all stages (1st dose, 2nd dose, 3rd/booster dose) of the vaccination sequence. Pfizer shots will be available for ages 12 through 18, and Pfizer pediatric shots will be available for kids age 5 through 11. Vaccinations will be provided on a walk-in basis. Those receiving second or third/booster doses are strongly encouraged to bring their vaccination cards.
“As we enter the holiday season, it’s more important than ever for everyone to keep themselves and their families safe,” said Dr. Theresa Cullen, Pima County Health Department director. “The single best way to do that is to get vaccinated.”

No identification is necessary, but staff will ask you to verify your name and date of birth. Anyone under 18 must obtain the permission of a parent or guardian before receiving the vaccine. Masks must be worn inside the building.
COVID-19 vaccinations are widely available throughout Pima County. In addition to the TCC site, the Health Department operates four standing vaccination clinics in the Tucson area, plus a number of mobile clinics at local schools and other locations. Pima County also offers a number of free options for individuals to get tested for COVID-19 at testing centers throughout the county, as well as BinaxNOW at-home self-tests, which are available for pickup at Pima County Library locations during regular library hours, and at Abrams Public Health Center, 3950 S. Country Club Road, on these days -- Dec. 3, Dec. 10 and Dec. 17 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. More information on COVID-19 testing locations can be found at

“The expanded vaccine and testing opportunities reflect Pima County’s commitment to equity in the fight against COVID-19,” Cullen said. “No one should miss an opportunity to get vaccinated because of their financial situation, or where they live, or what their schedule is. We are committed to removing every barrier we can, because getting vaccinated is the most important step anyone can take toward stopping the spread of COVID-19 in our communities.”
