    The proposed project consists of realigning East Hughes Access Road approximately 2,500 feet south of its current alignment and renaming it Aerospace Parkway. Project improvements include one travel lane in each direction, paved shoulders for bicycle use, cross culverts for drainage, turn lanes, traffic signal, and intersection street lighting, signing, and striping.

    BNNative Plant Salvage

    During the month of March, PCDOT, Pima County Native Plant Nursery, and volunteers for the Tucson Cactus and Succulent Society (TCSS) Salvaged 411 Plants from where the proposed E. Hughes Access Road will be located. Salvaged plants included over 200 Barrel cacti, 34 Ocotillo, 54 Peniocereus Greggii (night blooming cereus), 147 Cholla, and other cacti. These plants will be used by the Pima County Nursery to landscape Pima County projects and by the TCSS for relocation throughout Tucson
