  • Safety Corner: 2022 RWRD In-Service Training for Field Employees

    By Ken Coultas

In-Service Training (IST) for field employees starts this month. IST is designed to provide all field employees with updated information on topics that are most hazardous to them during their course of duties. The Safety Training Committee looks at where and how injuries have historically occurred, what duties create the greatest safety risk, and what topics are required to be taught for OSHA compliance.

Similar to Annual Safety Training, IST begins with Web-based prerequisite courses in the LMS. Practical instructor-led sessions follow the LMS. Practical sessions allow employees to interact with our safety and technical instructors, ask questions, and have discussions during the training sessions. Each employee attending 2022 IST earns four Professional Development Hours (PDHs).
