  • Road Work Rescheduled April 21-May 3 for Wilmot Road and Kolb Road

    Pavement Preservation

    The scheduled work to mill and repave Wilmot Road and Kolb Road has been pushed out to Thursday, April 21 through Tuesday, May 3 between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. Pima County Department of Transportation and its contractor, Granite Construction, Inc., will begin setting traffic control and lowering utilities before paving operations begin as follows:

    • Friday, April 22 and Saturday, April 23: milling and repaving Wilmot Road from south of Hermans Road to Tucson city limits.
    • Friday, April 29 and Saturday, April 30: milling and repaving Kolb Road from south of I-10 to Voyager Road.

    Temporary striping and cleanup will follow paving operations. Thermoplastic striping is scheduled for a later date.

    Flaggers will be on site to direct, monitor and control traffic through the construction zone. Please approach the area with caution and obey all traffic control devices. Minor delays may occur during this work.

    In the event of mechanical failure or inclement weather, the construction schedule is subject to change.

    In Fiscal Year 2021/2022, the Pima County Board of Supervisors and Transportation Department allocated $85 million in road repair and preservation funding for the Road Repair and Preservation Program.
