    The Julian Wash Greenway provides key connection between the existing path along 6th Avenue and the river park path along Park Avenue.  The Ajo Way crossing at 2nd Avenue was improved with thermoplastic striping and bicycle detection loops, leading to the new path installation along the south side of Ajo Way.

    Aviation Parkway Richey to Technical Drive The existing asphalt path along the VA Hospital was re-surfaced with a chip seal treatment to improve enjoyment for path users and prolong the life of the asphalt. Additional safety and directional signage were installed through this section. This portion of work was coordinated with the VA facilities management team.

    The railroad was modified to provide a smoother riding surface. Improvements along the new path include drainage modifications to adequately convey storm runoff, guard rail installation, bus stop upgrades, thermoplastic striping, fencing and new paving at the intersection with Fair Avenue. The path crosses along Ajo Way to the east side of Park Avenue, providing a safe and enjoyable connection for all path users.
