  • Road Work in Butterfield Business Center Starts February 21

    Pavement PreservationStarting Monday, February 21, 2022, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Pima County Department of Transportation and its contractor, Tucson Asphalt Paving & Construction Co., will begin paving operations in the Butterfield Business Center, north of Irvington, between Palo Verde and Alvernon.

    The work will consist of setting traffic control, lowering utilities, milling and repaving and temporary striping. Paving operations are expected to be completed mid-April 2022.

    Flaggers and Pima County Sheriff's Deputies will be on site to direct, monitor and control traffic movements through the construction zone. Please approach the area with caution and obey all traffic control devices. Minor delays may occur during this work.

    In the event of mechanical failure or inclement weather, the construction schedule is subject to change.

    In Fiscal Year 2021/2022, the Pima County Board of Supervisors and Transportation Department allocated $85 million in road repair and preservation funding for the Road Repair and Preservation Program.
