  • Road Work on Roller Coaster/Oracle Jaynes Station Road from March 12 to May 27

    Pavement PreservationTomorrow, Saturday, March 12, through Friday, May 27, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Pima County Department of Transportation and its contractor, Granite Construction, Inc., will begin paving operations on Roller Coaster Road/Oracle Jaynes Station Road from La Canada Drive to just north of Klamath Drive.

    The work will consist of setting traffic control, milling and repaving, temporary striping, utility adjustments, speed hump installation and cleanup. Thermo striping is scheduled for a later date.

    Flaggers will be on site to direct, monitor and control traffic movements through the construction zone. Please approach the area with caution and obey all traffic control devices. Minor delays may occur during this work.

    In the event of mechanical failure or inclement weather, the construction schedule is subject to change.

    In Fiscal Year 2021/2022, the Pima County Board of Supervisors and Transportation Department allocated $85 million in road repair and preservation funding for the Road Repair and Preservation Program.
