The Pima County
Workforce Investment Board will hear about trends and issues in local and state economic development, business retention and expansion at its monthly meeting on Friday, April 11.

A panel of experts will include:
- Rob Morton, Vice President, Business Expansion, Arizona Commerce Authority
- David Welsh, Executive Vice President of Strategic Partnerships, TREO
- Eric Nielsen, Director, U.S. Commercial Service/Arizona
The meeting will begin at 7:30 a.m. in Rooms 109-112 at Pima Community College’s Community Campus, 401 N. Bonita Ave. It usually concludes by 9 a.m. and is open to the public.
The Pima County Workforce Investment Board is appointed by the Pima County Board of Supervisors to provide recommendations on local workforce policy and oversight of the Pima County
One-Stop Career Center. The board includes representatives of local businesses, nonprofits and educational institutions.
One-Stop works with employers in local growth, high-demand industry occupations to address their current and future workforce needs.
