The Pima County Health Department's Teen Pregnancy Prevention Program provides information and resources to reduce HIV sexual risk among youth using the ¡Cuídate! model. Cuídate means "take care of yourself," which is the theme of this Abstinence Plus education for youth ages 13-18.
Youth will:
- Acquire correct and reliable information about risks and diseases.
- Develop attitudes that support safe decision-making.
- Build skills to be able to abstain from sex and use condoms correctly.
- Reinforce confidence in their ability to practice safer sex.
