Kitten cuddlers, come on down!

Pima Animal Care Center is officially in “kitten season” and 10 foster homes for kittens are needed immediately.

PACC has many tiny kittens coming to the shelter each day that are too small to stay in the shelter. Anyone willing to foster kittens will be asked to care for them until they are kittenready for adoption. Supplies provided as available!

With baby kittens, this might be bottle feeding every 2-3 hours around the clock. Training provided. Or you’ll be asked to care for “mushers,” which are kittens that have teeth and are learning how to eat solid foods. These kittens just need a little extra care until they are big enough for adoption.

PACC also needs emergency bottle baby fosters. This is an on-call list. When called, you would come to the shelter to pick up a litter of kittens to take home for one night and bring them back to the shelter the next day. You can specify dates you are not available, and if you decide you want to keep fostering them after the first night, all the better.

If you cannot help in the short-term, but would like to foster kittens, you can sign up www.Pima.gov/foster or email: PACC.traditionalfoster@pima.gov. Place "I want to foster kittens!" in the subject line.

In your message, please put whether you can take bottle babies, mushers, or be on the emergency bottle baby list. (Or any combination of the above!)
