Pavement PreservationOn Wednesday, May 25, through Friday, June 3, between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., Pima County Department of Transportation and its contractor, KE&G Construction, Inc., will begin paving operations on Camino de la Canoa from Whitehouse Canyon Road to Placita Agua de Pedregal as part of Pima County’s Road Repair and Preservation Program.

The work consists of setting traffic control, lowering utilities, milling and repaving, and temporary striping. Thermo striping is scheduled for a later date.

Flaggers will be on site during regular work hours to direct, monitor and control traffic movements through the construction zone. Please approach the area with caution and obey all traffic control devices. Minor delays may occur during this work.

In the event of mechanical failure or inclement weather, the construction schedule is subject to change.

In Fiscal Year 2021/2022, the Pima County Board of Supervisors and Transportation Department allocated $85 million in road repair and preservation funding for the Road Repair and Preservation Program.
