  • Road Work on Wilds Road, Twin Lakes Drive and Columbus Boulevard Starts May 31

    Pavement PreservationOn Tuesday, May 31, through Wednesday, June 15, between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., Pima County Department of Transportation and its contractor, Granite Construction, Inc., will be performing road repair work at the following locations:

    • Wilds Road from Oracle Road to Twin Lakes Drive
    • Twin Lakes Drive from Mainsail Boulevard to Golder Ranch Drive
    • Columbus Boulevard from Edwin Road to Hawser Street

    The work consists of setting traffic control, milling, repaving, and temporary striping.  Thermo striping is scheduled for a later date.

    Flaggers will be on site during regular work hours to direct, monitor and control traffic movements through the construction zone. Please approach the area with caution and obey all traffic control devices. Minor delays may occur during this work.

    In the event of mechanical failure or inclement weather, the construction schedule is subject to change.

    In Fiscal Year 2021/2022, the Pima County Board of Supervisors and Transportation Department allocated $85 million in road repair and preservation funding for the Road Repair and Preservation Program.
