    Pavement Preservation Program

Beginning tomorrow, July 7, and Friday, July 8, between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., Pima County Department of Transportation and its contractor, Granite Construction, Inc., will be performing milling and paving work on Nebraska Street from Mission Road to Cardinal Avenue as part of Pima County’s Road Repair Program.

The work will consist of setting traffic control, milling and repaving, and temporary striping.  Thermo striping is scheduled for a later date.

Flaggers will be on site to direct, monitor and control traffic movements through the construction zone. Please approach the area with caution and obey all traffic control devices. Minor delays may occur during this work.

In the event of mechanical failure or inclement weather, the construction schedule is subject to change.

In Fiscal Year 2021/2022, the Pima County Board of Supervisors and Transportation Department allocated $85 million in road repair and preservation funding for the Road Repair and Preservation Program.
