The air quality advisory issued for yesterday and today by Pima County Department of Environmental Quality (PDEQ) will expire at midnight tonight. Particulate levels are continuing to decline at the PDEQ air quality monitoring sites as the dust settles out of the air. “The hourly pollution readings are dropping to the point that we think by midnight they will be back to normal levels,” said Beth Gorman, PDEQ Senior Program Manager.
PDEQ monitors air pollution in our region at 17 air quality monitoring sites. Up-to-the-hour air pollution levels are available online at the PDEQ website www.airinfonow.org or by calling the PDEQ hotline at (520) 882-4AIR.
The public can sign up at Air Quality Advisories to receive advisories and other Pima County Department of Environmental Quality notices directly via email.
