Locator Metadata

Geocoding Locator services turn addresses into coordinates, and coordinates into addresses.

We have three Geocoding Locator services available.

1. A Composite locator which first checks the parcel situs address layer and if the address is not found there, it checks the street network layer.
2. A Parcel locator which checks the parcel situs address layer for an address and if found, returns the coordinates of the parcel centroid.
3. A Street locator which checks the street layer for an address and if found, returns the coordinates of that address on the street.
