  • One-Stop offers free 'Computer Fundamentals for Employment Seekers'

    Pima County One-Stop Career Center offers three hands-on computer seminars for beginners on a weekly basis.

    These free “Computer Fundamentals for Employment Seekers” classes are taught in 4-hour modules at the Kino Service Center, 2797 E. Ajo Way, and the Rio Nuevo Service Center, 340 N. Commerce Park Loop, Tortolita Building.

    The classes are:
    • Computer Basics Skills – An introduction to computers for those with little or no computer experience. 4-hour class offered on Mondays.
    • Introduction to Internet Job Search – Practice online job search techniques for online applications, email, attaching documents, and saving documents. Students must have experience using a computer. 4-hour class offered on Tuesdays.
    • Microsoft Word and Excel Basics – Learn keyboarding shortcuts, understanding computer and software for Microsoft Word and Excel. Students must have experience using a computer. 12-hour class taught in 4-hour modules offered on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

    The days of the classes may be subject to change due to scheduled holidays.

    Seating is limited so pre-registration is required. For more information about the class schedule or to pre-register, please call the Kino Service Center at 520-243-6700 or the Rio Nuevo Service Center at 520-724-7650 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
