  • Pima County partners with Banner – University Medicine on town hall on senior health

    Photo of senior man exercising.The Pima County Health Department and Banner – University Medicine will hold a virtual town hall on senior health on Wednesday, Feb. 8, from 6 to 7 p.m.

    The free interactive town hall will be held on Microsoft Teams. Individuals can register and submit questions to the panelists here: https://weblink.bannerhealth.com/weblink/classes/info/MIH002VH. There also will be opportunities to submit questions during the town hall.

    Health Department director Dr. Theresa Cullen will join four other panelists in discussing the following topics and more: dementia, falls prevention, medications, vaccinations, and sharing of community resources for seniors in our community.

    The other scheduled panelists are:
    • W. Mark Clark, president and chief executive officer of the Pima Council on Aging
    • Dr. Mindy Fain, co-director, Arizona Center on Aging; Banner – University Medicine chief, division of geriatrics and Palliative Medicine
    • Dr. Ashley Campbell, Clinical Pharmacist, Banner – University Medicine
    • Dr. Allan Anderson, director of the Banner Alzheimer’s Institute Tucson
    “We’re grateful to have so many partners who do tireless work to serve and improve the lives of seniors in our community,” Cullen said. “We’re eager to answer questions about all aspects of senior health in this town hall.”
