Kino Veterans' Workforce Center
Pima County One-Stop opened the Kino Veterans’ Workforce Center in 2012 to help military veterans find jobs, get training, access benefits, and provide needed support services.
No one person or agency can do it all, so we have formed veterans-centric partnerships using the Pima County One-Stop model, which allows partners to bring their expertise to assist veterans and their families while working with employers to hire veterans.
Veterans Services:
- Peer support, networking clubs, computer labs, and office equipment to support training and job search
- Career counseling and job search assistance, including help with resumes, skill and aptitude assessments, and interview techniques
- Benefits counseling and claims assistance for education, medical care, disability, behavioral health services and recovery
- Assistance with housing and other basic needs during transition to employment
- Adult education, tutoring and study skills workshops, occupational skills training, and on-the-job training partnerships
- Assistance with tools, uniforms and other basic needs during transition to employment.

Homeless Veterans Reintegration Program
The Homeless Veterans' Reintegration Program (HVRP) is an employment-focused competitive grant program of the Department of Labor, Veterans' Employment and Training Service (DOL-VETS), the only federal grant to focus exclusively on competitive employment for homeless veterans.
HVRP has two core objectives:
- Provide services to assist in reintegrating homeless veterans into meaningful employment within the labor force
- Stimulate the development of effective service delivery systems that will address the complex problems facing homeless veterans.
