The 20-acre Habitat at 36th and Kino property was acquired for its riparian habitat and numerous dense vegetative communities. It supports habitat for many migratory and area birds, including the Abert’s towhee, a Priority Vulnerable Species. The property is also located near six area schools and the Quincie Douglas Recreation Center, which can provide for possible environmental education outreach opportunities.
