Yaqui Park is located on the Julian wash between S. 10th Ave. and S. 12th Ave. The City of South Tucson operates and maintains the park per the IGA with the Regional Flood Control District.
The major park improvements include pedestrian bridge over the Julian Wash, circular concrete plaza that will serve as the entry to the future community center, landscape and irrigation improvements including turf areas, primary and secondary entry monuments, art pedestals, a location map, street improvements to S. 10th Ave. and S. 12th Ave., enhancements to the existing lighting, paved paths, shade armadas, basketball court, pathway ecurity lighting, and public art by Las Artes. The improvements provided expanded opportunities for soccer related sports in the South Tucson area.
