The Cortaro and Hartman property was acquired as part of the 2,700-acre Empirita property acquisition in the Cienega Valley. The 50-acre Cortaro and Hartman property is in Northwest Tucson, and contains a portion of Hardy Wash, which is preserved in part by Pima County just upstream from this property. The parcels contain a significant stand of relatively undisturbed ironwood forest.
