BeWell Time
Administrative Procedure 23-30 increased the amount of paid time employees can use to participate in onsite wellness and benefits activities from two hours to
eight hours per fiscal year. Employees can use BeWell time to attend any Employee Benefits or Wellness hosted event, such as screenings, wellness workshops, health coaching, health fairs, challenge weigh-ins, Benefits presentations, Annual Enrollment fairs and more. Using this time is at the discretion of the Appointing Authority or Supervisor.
Additionally, the time can now be tracked through eTime. Please view the
BeWell Time in eTime Instructions for both supervisors and employees.
We encourage you to allow your employees time to participate in such events and activities.

The Human Resources Benefits & Wellness program have created a variety of workshops to help educate and empower Pima County employees to better understand their benefits and how to best utilize them.
In order to cover work hours utilized to attend, non-exempt employees may be required to use annual leave or comp time (in conjunction with their lunch break) or, with prior approval from their supervisor, may be permitted to flex their time during the same week. Exempt employees are not required to use vacation time to attend. See the BeWell Time tab for more details on how to participate in these activities using BeWell Time.
