Youth Activities

Training for Tots

Age 3-5yrs
Wednesday and Friday
Dates: March 28 – April 22, 2022
This sport-based exercise class will introduce participants to a variety of outdoor sports and other fun games. Children will practice skills such as kicking, catching, throwing, and playing with others.
Registration begins Friday, December 17 at 6 a.m.

Summer Recreation 

The summer recreation program offered June and July, is for children who have completed Kindergarten through 5th grade in the 2021/2022 school year. Summer recreation program is Monday through Thursday 7:30AM-5:00PM, closed on Fridays; space is limited. Online registration opens Thursday, April 28, 2022 at 6:00AM Arizona Time. Activities include indoor and outdoor recreation, reading program, group games, sports, arts and crafts, board and table games, special events, guest speakers, field trips, environmental education and more. The program is free except for some special events. Please contact the community center for more information or for dates and times check our online registration.

After-school Program

The after-school program is open to children in kindergarten through the fifth grade. The program’s hours will be from the time school is dismissed to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Activities include homework help, reading program, group games, sports, arts and crafts, board and table games, special events, and more. The program is free except for some special events.
Session 2 registration begins November 30, 2021 at 6:00 a.m.

Pima County Natural Resources, Parks and Recreation facilities are not licensed childcare facilities under section 36-882 of A.R.S. The school-age youth programs are “at will” drop in programs and youth enrolled in the programs may come and go of their own volition.
