Classes/Programs

This 6 week program is offered in 4 different sessions throughout the school year, for children ages 3-5 years who are toilet trained. A variety of classes are offered which include activities such as arts and crafts, music, story time, nutrition education, early learning skills, socialization, sports skills, active games, science, and much more. Parent must accompany the child and remain on premises during the entire program. Additional parent programming available. After-School Program

Pima County Natural Resources, Parks and Recreation facilities are not licensed childcare facilities under section 36-882 of A.R.S. The school-age youth programs are “at will” drop in programs and youth enrolled in the programs may come and go of their own volition.

The after-school program is for children ages 5-12. 5-year-olds must be enrolled in elementary school. Activities include homework help, reading program, group games, sports, arts and crafts, board and table games, special events, and more. The program is free except for some special events. Summer Recreation

The summer recreation program offered June and July, is for children entering 1st through 6th grade in the 2019/2020 school year. Activities include indoor and outdoor recreation, reading program, group games, sports, arts and crafts, board and table games, special events, guest speakers, field trips, environmental education and more. The program is free except for some special events. Please contact the community center for more information or for dates and times check our online registration.

Seniors Programfield trip

Golden Age II is a Senior Social Club for anyone 55 years and older.
Meetings and activities: Tuesday, 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.; additional activities Thursday, 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
Potlucks: last Tuesday each month
Fees: Free except for field trips and special events.

In addition to Tuesday’s meetings and activities, Thursday is another day for activities including Mah-Jongg, cards, checkers, chess, ping pong, archery, billiards, scheduled field trips, and more. New members welcome.

Enhance Fitness

Monday, Wednesday, Friday 10:00-11:00 a.m.
For Adults 60+
Instructors: Joshua Emslie and Rebekah Taylor
An ongoing low to moderate level exercise class taught by a certified fitness instructor. Includes a 20 minutes no/low impact aerobic segment, stretches, and structured strength training exercises using weights. Classes include sitting and standing. Fitness assessments included at 4 month intervals.
$15 per person per month
