Classes/Programs

After-school Programphoto

The after-school program is open to children in kindergarten through the fifth grade. The program’s hours will be from the time school is dismissed to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday. Activities include homework help, reading program, group games, sports, arts and crafts, board and table games, special events, and more. The program is free except for some special events. Registration begins Monday, August 30 at 6 am. Click HERE to register.

Pima County Natural Resources, Parks and Recreation facilities are not licensed childcare facilities under section 36-882 of A.R.S. The school-age youth programs are “at will” drop in programs and youth enrolled in the programs may come and go of their own volition.

Watercolors

Thursdays 10:00 am-12:00pm
September 2-December 16, 2021
Ever wanted to learn to paint with watercolors? This program will give you the opportunity to explore your creative side. No experience necessary, come out and socialize while learning watercolor skills. Contact the community center at 520-682-7166 for a list of supplies needed for the class. Registration required, click HERE to register.

Other Programs

Lending Library 
For those avid readers a lending library is available at the center. The library is kept updated with some of the more recent titles as well as many of the older books. The books are donated by some individuals and some from the public library. Books are checked out on the honor system and we ask that borrowed books are returned so that others may also enjoy them. Open during normal business hours.

Senior Congregate Meal Program
Meals are currently take-out only via curbside pick-up. Contact the community center for more information.

Community Services

Pima County Library Bookmobile
Third Friday, 1:00-2:00 pm.

Public Computers
We have computers available for public use. The lab is open Monday-Friday, 10:00 am-6:00 pm.
