The Harrison Greenway connects the Julian Wash Greenway and the Pantano Wash River park. This project is the northern third of the greenway, connecting from Irvington Road (where Fantasy Island bike facility is located) to the existing Pantano Riverpark connection on Sellarole Road. It is a critical connector project for the Loop.

The first section installed was at Mesquite Elementary and includes both asphalt and soft path, landscaping, and adjustments to the elementary parking lot in exchange for the land. This will connect to pending state land to the north. The second section travels along the south face of Mesquite and along the drainage channel to connect with Nexus and Rita Roads and the existing bike lanes. This included coordination with the school bus connections.
The final section continues bike lanes south of Old Vail Road on Rita, to connect with a COT project at the Railroad/Julian Wash Greenway. This critical connection provides bike and sidewalk connections on Rita past a drainage pinch point to ensure continuation of bike lanes throughout all of Rita Road, not previously in the City’s project plan.
