November 15, 2013 of pertussis (whooping cough) at Vail School District Schools, the Pima County Health Department has expanded recommendations previously made to Empire High School to parents at Sycamore Elementary School. These recommendations can be found on the VUSD webpage.
October 30, 2013 - The Health Department has released a letter to parents of students at Empire High School informing them of an increase in cases of pertussis (whooping cough) and expanded disease control recommendations. The Pima County Health Department is working closely with Vail Unified School District to implement these recommendations.
